This module provides you with an opportunity to develop digital marketing intelligence gathering abilities, planning skills, creativity and measurement/evaluation in order to formulate strategic and tactical solutions required for a Digital Marketing project.
Learning Outcomes:
On successful completion of this module you will be able to:
Critically evaluate the relevant methods to be applied for developing a project in this area.
Develop a project proposal, collect the data and present the findings in an appropriate manner.
Critically analyse, interpret and evaluate the situational analysis factors influencing the project.
Develop strategic and tactical Digital Marketing solutions for complex organisational marketing challenges
Evaluate monitoring and evaluation techniques to indicate the effects and impact of Digital Marketing in relation to strategic objectives.
Indicative Module Content:
You will create your project proposals and be in discussion with tutors early in the module.
You will need to clearly identify the objectives of the project and fulfil the requirements of the project, following your agreed project plan.
This is primarily a self-directed project.
Development of Skills/Teaching and Learning Strategy:
There will be 28 hours of direct teaching and learning, before you move to the development of your project. Then you will need to approach active project work in a mature and responsible manner taking the initiative for setting the discussion agenda for approximately 8 hours of online tutor-group meetings.

The module delivery and assessment activities are underpinned by ensuring that the UCL an employability skills are embedded in the module. The skills have been informed by drawing upon national occupational standards and extensive relationship with local, national and international employers.

During this module, you will develop skills, knowledge and subject specific understanding which will be useful within your degree and within business.
All documents will be available via Blackboard including Module Information Pack (MIP), assessments, workshop/lecture notes, video recordings of classes and on-line recorded lectures. Where possible, video copies of workshops/lectures will be made available to support students teaching and learning.
In the rare case of cancellation of class due to tutor absence, please ensure that you read and watch all workshop/lecture notes and videos and undertake all activities on Blackboard as highlighted by the tutor
All modules are enhanced each year based on extensive student feedback. Although this is a new module for Academic Year 2020/21, the content of this module has been reviewed and refreshed to align it with contemporary digital marketing opportunities during the current COVID-19 pandemic.
