While sitting at the garden he sees that Beatrice plucks the flower and few drops of the moisture falls on a lizard, killing it instantly.

She cares for the flower more than the live of the insects that is being killed due to the moisture that was present on the flower. Such a scene surprises him, and he wonders what makes him to do such a thing. He passes on the bouquet to her, which she receives after thanking him.

He doesn’t go to window for many days and avoid seeing her as he fears about seeing the reaction of his new found love. Throughout these days he finds new methods through which he can avoid seeing his new girlfriend. One day, he meets Rappaccinin and wonders why he is hurry.

Her father states that the medicine was not a curse but a gift that was meant to benefit her. The poison that was present in her body was already a part of her life and the anecdote in fact killed her rather than saving her live.

Analysis

The story reveals the ambitious nature of three individuals the doctor, the young man, and the doctor’s friend. Medicine that was developed by the doctor was poisonous in nature and it was meant to save the love of the people, however it was poisonous in nature and thus the doctor was very careful about the same.

The young were in love and would anything to believe the best thing for his love. Instead of saving her live he gives her the medicine that was meant to save her life.

In this story, it has been stated that he didn’t analyse the situation and did everything that was instructed of him. This, instead of saving his new friend’s life, had killed her. Besides this, he also reveals his selfish nature as he doesn’t believe what she says about the flower and her father’s experiment.

Besides this the father also experiments the medicines on this daughter and doesn’t think about her future. The same thing is being done by the doctor. In fact every ne had a veil intention in the act, and this had actually killed Beatrice.

The girl was innocent and would everything that was instructed by her father and then by her new found love. Instead of leading a happy and peaceful life, she ultimately died because everyone used her for their own personal reasons (Hawthorne N, 2012).
